San diego mural
In humanities each group of student, will be assign a specific community to make a collage out of by using popular place, their history and so on. We are collaging pictures to cover a building in from the San Diego Skyline. So at the end, we put all of our completed buildings up and it will for the Skyline. For this assignment, my group has the communities Kearny Mesa and Linda Vista, which is pretty difficult at times but is overall fun researching about the communities.

Community Poem
“Me in Kearny Mesa; I in Linda Vista”
I am from the Yum Yum Donut Shop, fingers sticky from a fluffy glazed donut.
From dusty BMX racing and loitering in Missile Park.
I am from tasty Asian culture and doing the funky chicken in Skateworld.
I am from Linda Vista.
From Lunar New Year Festival with dragon heads and sparklers and luscious Linda Vista Community Park.
I am from the bustle of Little Vietnam and sipping cold and sweet drinks at the Boba Shop.
I am from the Nijiya Market and shopping through rows of foreign candies and premade meals.
From karaoke on Friday nights and Kearny Mesa Bowl, the sound of squeaky shoes and falling pins filling the air.
I am from old Camp Kearny and 1940’s racism.
I am from the success of Alan Tremel.
From the peace and quiet of Linda Vista Library and cheering on the Kearny Komets.
I am from Vien-Dong Supermarket and the festive Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade.
I am the Me in Kearny Mesa.
I am the I in Linda Vista.
